Even though we are obviously working on lots of movie, music and fashion events, there are quite a few types of parties out there including store openings, which are getting increasingly popular.
Since we’ve been getting questions from store owners, we thought we would give you 10 store launch party ideas to help you create a successful store opening.

  • Invite some celebrities: We’re in LA and we have plenty of – A to Z – celebrities that would be more than happy to come for free drinks, goodie bags or some decent pay check. Keep in mind that the presence of celebrities will get the word out for your shop thanks to social networks, gossip media and press releases.
  • Have a red carpet arrival: Put a red carpet in front of your store, along a small step and repeat backdrop and not only you will get great pics but also attract a crowd, which will make it look more successful.
  • Ribbon cutting: Have your favorite VIP guest or yourself cut the ribbon.
  • Invite local media and bloggers: While inviting TV and print press is a no-brainer, bringing in influent bloggers specialized in your products, will generate sales on the long run.
  • Have a DJ in your store to create a festive mood.
  • Hire a professional photographer and/or videographer.
  • Offer prizes – customers will love that.
  • Invite a food truck, which will draw crowds in front your store.
  • Have free food inside – finger food will do (this means you will need to hire a couple waiters).
  • Last but not least, offer some free booze …
